Dear St. Peter School Families,
For the past several months, through collaborative efforts between QCES, the administration, and the advisory board, tuition and fees for our next school year were discussed and researched at great length. While we recognize any increase in tuition will impact our school families, such increases are necessary to maintain the quality of our academic programs, our teachers, and to ensure our long-term viability.
When determining tuition, we try to keep a balance between affordability for our families and the strategic needs of the school. After careful review of all considerations, the tuition for the 2019-2020 school year has been set for Participating Parishioners at $2,750 for a single child, and $4,025 for families with 2 or more children. For families of other faiths or Non-Participating Parishioners, tuition for a single child will be $3,725 and $6,350 for families with 2 or more children. The annual student fees remain the same. (Instructional at $190 per child, Technology at $50 per child and Online Enrollment at $10 per child for a total of $250.)
We encourage our families to keep in mind that the actual cost to educate a student is considerably greater than paid tuition. To bridge the financial gap, we rely on the generous contributions from the parishioners of St. Peter Church and other advancement efforts each year. This tuition increase is necessary to ensure that we have adequate resources to keep pace with the forecasted increase in operational costs, but also allowing us to continue to make the necessary capital and educational investments necessary to maintain the staffing, facilities and programs to provide the best possible education for our children.
As always, we will continue to prioritize all the necessary investments in our school to ensure we are utilizing all available resources as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Attached is the 2019-2020 St. Peter School Family Agreement. In order to plan for staffing, materials, and supplies, it is important this agreement is returned to St. Peter School no later than May 1, 2019. Fees received after May 1st, 2019 will go up to a total of $400 (Technology $100 and Instructional $290, Online Enrollment $10).
We are blessed at St. Peter Parish and School because we have found that stewardship is working. We appreciate everyone’s efforts and our plan for the upcoming school year is to help offset some of the extra expenses that our parents have. These expenses may be for field trips, elective costs, etc.
Our goal is – and always has been – to provide the highest quality of education for your children. If you have any questions regarding financial assistance and/or tuition programs, please feel free to contact the school office at your earliest convenience.
Thank you and God bless.
